Recent Painting
As I celebrate spring finally getting here. I paint. Vigorous and frequent seems to be the norm again. I have much on my artistic plate this summer and fall. I am very excited about the plein air events this summer and plan on attending as many of them as I can. I will also be in a show at the Penninsula School of Art in Door County this November. The show is called 30 paintings in 30 days. It will be a marathon. I will be sure to post every painting on this blog as I complete them.
I also have some commissions and art in two downtown's (Manitowoc and Chilton)
Here are a few pick of pieces completed recently...

Working Big
Silver Creek
oil on canvas
24x28
Those of us who paint outdoors often can sometimes put ourselves in an 8x10 or 9x12 box. I decided after a few semi succesful 16x20's I wanted to go large. Here are the results from this afternoon. I think that it was freeing and dare I say easier painting so large. Big brushes and bold moves. Happy Painting!
